Helping Hands

Chasm is symbolic of the contrast of emotions that are felt when in an abusive relationship. It comes from feeling unbalanced, fearful and unable to trust your own thoughts and feelings.
When in the calm,
we fear the turmoil,
when in the turmoil,
we dream of peace.

Gina's artwork was displayed at Visions and Voices from NC Domestic Violence Survivors along with the Silent Witness Exhibit. The Honorable Lieutenant Governor Beverly Perdue was keynote speaker, honoring the resilience of battered women and their children.
